Jasmine Quah Named SLB Presidential Scholar – Graduate Student Merit Finalist

Graduate student Jasmine Quah has been named a Merit Finalist in the Presidential Scholars – Graduate Student category by the Society for Leukocyte Biology (SLB). This competitive, merit-based award recognizes outstanding research in the field of leukocyte biology. Merit Finalists are selected based on the strength of their scientific accomplishments and receive recognition and a travel award from SLB.

In addition to receiving the Merit Finalist award, Jasmine was also selected to present a flash talk at SLB 2025, where she will share her research titled “Resistin-like Molecules: Friend or Foe during Influenza?” The conference will be held October 29 – November 1, 2025, in Vancouver, B.C., and this year’s theme is “Inflammation: A Goldilocks Story.” More information about the conference can be found here.
