Tuesday June 16th, was an amazing day were the Samarasinghe Lab came together with other science enthusiasts to celebrate Dr. Nizar Jajour and learn about the impact he has made on the scientific comunity. This event would not have been possible without Dr. Amali Samarasinghe who took the lead for the planning committee and made sure the event ran smoothly. During the Jajour Research Day, there were talks given by individuals who had the opportunity to work with or be impacted by Dr. Nizar Jajour.

There was a break around noon when attendees could look at poster presentations, where lab members Molly Hellberg, Stephane Esnault, Jasmine Quah, Fahad Mian, Lauren Kojo, and Kavya Kashyap all presented posters. During the poster presentation we were also graced with the presence of the Bucky Badger who helped keep everyone on their toes.

We want to congragulate Fahad Mian for winning first place in the undergraduate student category. We are very proud of him for this achievment! After the poster session the speakers resumed one of which was Dr. Samarasinghe who gave an excellent speach about our research as well as her time with Dr. Jajour. The day finished with a meaningful talk from Dr. Jajour. At the end every attendee was gifted a hand made mug from Dr. Jajour and friends.
