The Samarasinghe lab had a great time at the Department of Medicine Picnic where we enjoyed sharing a meal with our colleages as well as petting the animals at the petting zoo. We also were proud to watch Dr. Amali Samarasinghe receive the 2026 Department of Medicine Chair Commendation, along with a Golden Bucky. The DOM Chair Commendation is an internal departmental honor given by Dr. Lynn Scnhapp, the Department of Medicine Chair, to highlight Dr. Samarasinghe’s exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to the department.
